im arlene. started skimboarding summer 2007. and never stopped since then. i have my own board made of wood and epoxy. bought it from elijah boards cebu. it's got nice colors and this herb design. i like it very much because im very sentimental that way. although sometimes the ganja design is a bit of a "booty call" for smokers around. hahaha. and i actually dont like that very much. hhahahaha... anyway, been thinking of getting one made from the PLAKAT zamba locals... or get a foamie...

Good day people! Patrick here from lower Antipolo City.. started skim boarding last May in Iba, Zambales.. Sobrang nabitin ako kasi nanghihiram lang kami ng board non so ngayon I'm planning to buy one para ma-influence ko rin mga friends ko na bumili.
Ask ko na rin guys kung reasonable ba ang price ng woodie Victoria around Php 4.5k at Stoked Trinoma? And pwede ba ang foamie boards for newbies like me? Btw, XL size yung nasa Stoked Trinoma hindi daw siya fit sa weight ko cause around 150lbs ako so antayin ko lang na magkaron sila ng L size para fit sa weight ko.

based sa site ng Victoria Skimboards bro ang size chart ng L is 150-200lbs 45.5" x 20" then ang XL is 180-220lbs 48.5" x 21.3"

I'm 5'9" tall and around 150lbs.. just thinking kung pwede yung XL size for me parang gusto ko na kasi bilhin yung sa Stoked Trinoma. What do you thinks guys? Pwede kaya yun? And pwede kaya foamie for newbies? Kasi may available sila size na fit sa bigat ko

but if you ask me, before ka bumili ng board ask mo first self mo kung gusto mo mag flatland or mag wave ride... cuz for example, woodies can be used for wave riding... but its really shitty for inland skimming... base what board youre going to buy on the spot that youre going to ride in...

and with regard to the Victoria board, as much as i would want one too, id rather prefer to support the local board companies...

ok lang yan. get a local woodie phat. wag ung victoria na woodie, a waste of money i may say. d ako bibili ng victoria na woodie kung ako tatanungin mo kasi masyadong mahal. sa simula kailangan mo ng board na wawasakin mo,wag lang muna ung mamahalin. darating ung panahon na feeling mo nababawasan ng board ung riding performance, then its time to step up.

pero kung walang pera pera na problema..what the heck are we talking bout here?! get a good board (foamie o kahit anong foam core) and skim until it is grated to its core. wag bumili ng victoria woodie, bili ka nalang ng foamie kay choi kasi halos pareho lang ung price.

Ey Phat! Welcome to the forum. The price is right, but i think you can find it slightly cheaper elsewhere. I'm 98lbs and I got a medium foamie. Based on the victoria size chart M is 110-150lbs. It works fine with me. Easier if it's bigger and you can lend it to every friend big and small. The thing is, it might go slower on the sand since it'll be light.

a Foamie for newbies is fine. But like they mentioned, you might wanna get something you can thrash first. And, the local boards are just as good as the imported ones. FER SURE!

yeah thanks sa tips and advice mga bro.. sa totoo lang medyo pricy nga ung victoria masyado lang ako na excite hehe. I'm open naman sa local boards and interested din ako sa choi boards.. actually i sent an email last week to Wendell Esmeralda then he gave me some tips, advice and his contact no. Hope na magkaron kami ng good deal soon

ako pala si jay suarez. bale nakita ko lang post ni the spook sa multiply ko. taga valenzuela pero based sa manila since nagaaral pa ako. natutong magskim sa org ko sa up diliman MBS. bale, skin divers kami so madalas kami nagddive kung san san pero ngayon madalang na akong makadagat kasi hassle mag med. kung nasa rob place kayo,look me up. nasa UP lang ako. pwede ko kayo imeet kung break ko. nagtry na kami magskim sa diliman since malayo dagat dito. ayos naman. yung tambayan namin ngayon puro board kasi kami gumagawa. bale di ako magaling magskim kasi mga tatlong beses pa lang ako nakakadagat simula last year. pero sana ngayong taon mas dumami. may dalawang board ako dito sa unit ko just in case may mga mag-aya. hahaha yung isa di ko pa tapos isand pero pwede na yun. kakatamad eh
