How to Identify Skimboard Types

In the few decades that skimboarding has been a popular watersport, many different types of skimboards have emerged on the market. To tell one skimboard from another, you must study the board and its features.

*Examine the material. "Woody" boards are made from various kinds of wood and come in various shapes and sizes. These boards are often seen on beaches with flatter surf where most of the skimboard riding is done on the sand where the surf washes up.

*Note the more advanced, synthetic constructions on boards built for riding waves and not just on the sand. E-glass is a basic fiberglass that imparts a smooth finish on the board. Texalium boards are coated with aluminum and make the board shiny. If you see a hard, smooth board that's extremely light, it's probably constructed of carbon fiber.

*Check out how "rocker" boards curve towards the nose of the board, whereas as most other boards are extremely flat. You can identify rockers on beaches where the shorebreak is extreme enough to require help from the skimboard in making the transition from the beach to the wave.

*Consider the shape of the board's tail. Pin tails, or tails that come to a moderate point, are generally used in sand skimboarding or by the beginner who needs a stable board. "W" and square shaped tails appear on wave riding skimboards and can be identified in the water by the large spray they make.

itapon sa ere at saluhin gamit noo: -kung dumugo, malamang woodie yan.

bitbitin ung board gamit ung ngipin: -kung mabasag ung ngipin, woodie yan.
-kung bumaon yung ngipin sa board, pwedeng foamie.

ipatong ang board sa dalawang upuan at sakyan ang gitna:
-kung may kahoy sa gitna, woodie yan.
-kung may foam sa gitna, foamie yan.
-kung may luha sa mata ng may ari at may kamao sa mukha
mo, malamang carbon yan.

pero syempre mas madaling magtanong sa gumagamit. magkakaroon ka pa ng bagong kaibigan at mabibigyan pa ng chansa ang may ari mag mayabang.

mga Men, anong size po ba ng skimboard ang pinakamagandang gamitin pag nagsimula sa skimboard, yung malaki ba o maliit? like anong size 41", 48"? anong mas maganda? salamat po.
