but i didnt regret taking up the sport...

what got me into skimboarding?

my aunt gave me a board. went to the beach with my friends. i was so psyched the next day i went to the beach alone to skim.. then the next, the day after next, and so on. i didn't stop playing even if it would mean me going to the beach alone. adik. hehehe

im used to skateboard....a local pro in the 90s to 2000...
1st time ko mag try ng skim at marunong agad ako mag ride...ayun nahilig na ako...kaso im staying here in manila....malayo sa beach...nag hahanap ng local spot here in the metro...

same here teji101...

i used to skim with my neighbors... but when they got tired of doing it, ako nlng mag isa ang nag siskim... and during that time, konti plng nag siskim dito sa amin... you can hear people say, "gago yun ah! wala namang alon, magsusurf?" or "ano yan? ironing board?"... hahahaha

parang mahirap yata humanap ng malapit sa spot dyan sa manila dude...

san ba pnka malapit na skim spot sa metro?

sa zambales na ata yung pinamalapit na maganda e. ok yung spots nila dun. mababait yung mga locals. taga dito din ako manila. plano ko at least once a month ako pupunta dun.

sama ako dyan...

hope meron gathering session weekly or monthly for skimboarding road trip...

actually meron ngyong weekend. trip papuntang crystal beach, san narciso, zambales. mga taga las pinas sila at ibang mga locals ata ng zambales.

kung mka punta kayo dito sa Iloilo, sama kayo pag may trip kmi ni the spook, sand sk8ter, at syndikato.

we usually go on trips and look for new spots pag free kmi during weekends...


and si The spook din ang may kasalanan kung bakit nag skim kmi lahat... mga kapit bahay nya kmi tol... hehehe

started with a drinking session... next day, they found themselves running after a skimboard in Oton.... but the beer was still there...

dati ko skater kaso nag stop na bz kasi,,gusto ko mag surf kaso wax lang kaya kung bilhin,,,,ala ko magawa nun ??? skin kung anu ang skim taz ng nag youtube ko shit parang skate n surf,,,,ngaun medyu adik na sa skim,,,kylangan mg trbaho para may png support sa pinagkaka adikan.........

ano yung kailangan para masuportahan ung pagskim? all you need is the board, candle stick (for the wax), and the beach.

sabay gimik na rin kasi...candle stick b ginagamit nyu di surf wax,,,,

oo candila lang yung katapat. hehehe. naalala ko nung pmunta ako zambales, nung nagtanong ako kung meron silang wax (ibig kong sabihin candle wax), aba silang lahat naglabas ng board wax na nabibili sa surf shop. i was impressed man.. pero sa totoo lang, gumagana yung kandila sa board. wax din naman un e. hindi naman natin hinihigaan ung board natin, unlike sa surfing, para dapat maganda ung quality ng wax e.

board wax is about a hundred bucks.. ung kandila.. 5 bucks. mas mura at cgurado ka pang tropical type. hehehe. matigas kasi ung kandila e.

ma try nga,,,basecoat 2nd coat un tropical,,daling maubos at madumi pa,,

mlambot kc ung wax na bnebenta e kaya dikit ung buhangin. ung kandila medyo matigas..

yeah. i wish my girlfriend would say that. she's quite a barbie to skim. too conscious of what people may say of her wipe outs. well, it can't be helped.

nung una, gusto ko lang ma try. nung na try ko na, ayoko ko na tigilan hanggang sa makaride ako ng mabuti. and i love beach sports/activities. that got me into skimboarding

It started wit surfing...then the water got flat...Skim na!
